Utah GPS Network Continues to Grow

August 25, 2009

The Utah Reference Network GPS Network continues to grow and now covers most of the state. The network is designed to connect multiple, permanently located GPS Receivers in a network for a range of precision GPS applications including surveying, engineering, construction and GIS data collection. Still in its infancy, the network now supports about 400 users who appreciate the precise results that the technology delivers. The network is coordinated by Sean Fernandez who works in the Automated Geographic Reference Center (AGRC). To register for service, users can visit www.turngps.utah.gov.End
